Swept Wing Double Box Delta

I was a bit nervous about this kite, as it looked so complicated online. But, in fact, getting it ready to fly involves a single cross-bar. Couldn’t be easier. Caught the wind instantly; one of those treasured kites that “wants” to fly (i.e., designed beautifully). Soared straight-up, with the line as near vertical as one sees in kite-flying. The colors really are “Mayan”-looking, as implied by its title; like a stained-glass window in a Mayan church, maybe. Love it.

The Swept Wing DDC is an eye catching and well made kite that is very easy to assemble on the flying field. It flies high with the slightest breeze and will take off right out of your hand. Have your long tails and line laundry ready because this 12’ delta has lifting power! The kite has no problem hauling a 75’ banner tail, and looks fabulous in the sky! Highly recommended!

This design by Barbara Meyer is just so attractive that once you have launched it you won't want to take it down. It looks like a stained-glass window in the sky, and flies like a dream. It will carry lots of tails or lift sizeable line laundry, but also looks great on its own. It's easy to fly, but has quite a big pull, and I use 250lb or 300lb line with mine. I have two of them, and they are among my favourite kites. Great value, particularly at the price on this website!
